I truly think that an educator should be excited to teach their subject in order to provide motivation and to interest the student in the subject. I believe that my experience and skills in teaching are able to give the necessary guidance to assist students in achieving their greatest potential in school and in life. It is my passion for education and my personal desire for furthering my learning that makes me a great mentor and leader for students on their path to learning. I am currently working towards an advanced degree in history and completed my undergraduate in history with honors. I plan to continue developing my writing and historical research skills while completing my masters. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a group study leader for history students and covered a variety of topics, including essay writing, historical content, test prep, and time management skills. After graduation, I worked as the tutor program coordinator and supervised between 25 and 30 tutors each semester. I enjoy any opportunity that involves working with students on writing and history because these are my passions, and I believe that my excitement for the subject will carry over to the students and encourage their learning.
